  • Headache or muscle pain (10%).
  • Nausea, skin rash, fatigue, flu-like illness, or fever (<10%).
  • Severe allergic reaction, sometimes days after the vaccine is given (very rare).


JE-Vax Side Effects
  • Soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given (20%).
  • Fever, headache, muscle pain, abdominal pain, rash, chills, nausea/vomiting, or dizziness (10%).
  • Severe allergic reaction, sometimes days after the vaccine is given (about 60 per 10,000 people).
  • Seizures or other nervous system problems (rare).
